The Newcomers’ Club of Greater Victoria warmly welcomes women of all ages to our club. We are a non-profit club with members volunteering for all the positions that make this club so dynamic! If you’ve recently moved to the Greater Victoria area or have lived here for up to three years, you’ll find our club an excellent way to enjoy your new home and to develop lasting friendships. Explore our site to find out more about our monthly meetings and wide array of activities. It would be great to have you join us!
We are a club of more than 100 women from all parts of Canada and the world. We began as the Saanich Newcomers’ Club and later changed our name to reflect the reality of members from all across the Greater Victoria area.
Our club offers many opportunities for women to meet one another in a friendly atmosphere and to find out more about their new home. We hold monthly meetings at a scenic beachfront restaurant with lively speakers from September to June. While the club takes a break during the summer, some of our events and activity groups continue.
There are so many exciting things to do with your Newcomers’ Club of Greater Victoria friends! Our activity groups reflect the needs and interests of our members, so find a group that interests you or start a new one! We always welcome new ideas for activities and new conveners to help get them going. You can sign up anytime during the year to join an activity group as long as spaces are available!
Once you have joined an activity group, it is up to you to decide whether you would like to participate in something every month or just occasionally!
